The Originals 2022 Celebration will be held at the Sanctuary, a private event center on the southeast side of Wintersmith Park, on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 3:00 p.m.
We will recognize the student editors, writers, and artists whose contributions created such an impressive publication. We will ask writers to read a few poems or pages from their fiction. We will ask artists to talk about their work. We will share views about works in the magazine that impressed, moved, and delighted us. We will help every writer and artist who attends know that their works are being seen and heard. We hope this support will provide more motivation for future efforts.
We will have copies of the magazine that writers and artists can use. Feel free to bring your work on a phone or tablet if you prefer to read from that device or if you would like to show us a color photo of the artwork that appeared in the magazine.
The event is free. If you cannot stay the entire time or must arrive after our start time, don't worry about it. Come when you can. Leave when you must.
Light refreshments will be provided. Bring a friend if you like. However, children are not a good fit for this event because some poems and stories contain adult content. The event will last approximately one hour.
